In 2012, Thomas Dupre, succeeding at a good line of French opticians, made the decision to produce his optical shop in Grenoble, France, and labeled on designer Cyrille Druart to provide you with an original procedure. “Our intent was to begin using a clean slate, rethink the very concept of the optical shop which may seem far too moulded and consistently more in exactly the same. We was mandated to discover the way to give you a fresh experience.

We decided to build up both the internal and exterior style and design simultaneously, as a way to shape a plunging perspective visible from your street, and catch the attention of passers-by. The interior uses a fluid specialized language, and gives visitors a step-by-step itinerary via products, paced by dynamic-shaped furniture throughout.” – Cyrille Druart.

The shop is located in a very new residential building. One starting point was found within a preexisting oblique beam made from exposed concrete. The total formal concept ensued, and is particularly echoed in the many slanted walls.

The guiding principle within is quickly noticeable, using a glasses display shelving that emergencies for 90+ metres, spread over eights levels. It provides a style for the shop, and visual continuity while using street outside.

The pure-white central display is supported by invisible glass structures, reminiscent of optical transparency. “We meant to produce an overall experience that could have visitors as well as buy glasses, and also get immersed into something different, unique and memorable.”
