Taizu Restaurant Design by Pitsou Kedem Architects and Baranowitz-Amit Studio

Pitsou Kedem Architects collectively with Baranowitz-Amit Studio have designed Taizu – Asia Terranean Kitchen located in Tel Aviv, Israel. The interior is rooted in two primary themes – the several elements of ancient Chinese Philosophy (Fire, Water, Metal, Wood and Earth) as perfectly as the culinary DNA in the menu. The flavors, textures and colours are dependant on chef Yuval Ben Neria’s personal interpretation of street foods of some good nations around the world in South East Asia – India, China, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam. The interior evokes a feeling of Asia without having becoming traditional or too literal. While muchof the finishing on the walls, space partitions and surfaces are designed by the architects, the furniture, comprising Custom pieces, Foscarini and Vibia lamps Vitra chairs and Boffi appliances, was carefully chosen being prominent although not overpowering in order to offer the spaces a classic contemporary feel.
